The Garden State Plaza – a sprawling mall in Bergen County – is offering a new exhibit for school-age kids to learn about all manners of the science, technology, math and engineering fields.
This 20,000-square-foot Arena STEM will offer attractions at New Jersey’s largest shopping mall, where students can learn about drone-flying or try out the new on-road drift track. The new site also offers classrooms, and boasts event capacity for birthday parties and other special occasions for up to 100 people.
“Arena STEM is a fun destination that utilizes STEM principles and fosters critical thinking and innovation,” reads a prepared Feb. 1 statement from Arena STEM Chief Executive Officer Sergei Manevich.
“We have created a unique environment where the entire family can spend a day, while parents and kids can learn and have fun together,” Manevich added.
Arena STEM also boasts a “Pre-K Learning Zone” for customers aged 2 to 6, where children can learn programming while playing with different gadgets at the shop. And, there are retail offerings that teach kids how to use programming like Python.
